18,636 pounds of organic fruits
March 5, 2023 Today, Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County (SHFBOC) came by Rainbow® Sandals Foundation and picked up 3,036 pounds of organic oranges and 7,800 pounds of avocados. With the help of 310 partners, SCFBOC provides dignified, equitable, and consistent access to nutritious food, creating a foundation for community health. Last year, they distributed over 32.4 million pounds of food to the partners, providing food to those in need throughout the county and feeding around 331,700 individuals per month. Then, later in the day Mercy Warehouse stopped by and picked up 7 bins of organic avocados and 192 cans of Dawn disinfectant wipes.
