5,500 pounds of avocados!
June 4, 2021, Busy day here at Rainbow® Sandals Foundation; with the help of our partner Del Rey Avocados we were able to distribute over 5,500 pounds of organic avocados. First, Calvary Church in San Juan Capistrano picked up 10 cases for their food pantry. Then, we dropped off two pallets of 100 boxes to Mercy Warehouse in Laguna Niguel for their food distribution, which takes place three times a week. Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County (SHFBOC) also received 100 boxes of avocados. SHFBOC will distribute them with the help of their 350 partners. Then, the drugs and alcohol recovery and restoration program, Joshua House in San Clemente, received four boxes. We also stopped by the Senior Center of San Clemente; they got two boxes. Finally, Fire Station # 60 picked up 2 cases. We want to thank everyone for helping us help others.
