Centra Foundation
Rainbow Sandals is proud to support the Centra Foundation and their Bell Project. In addition to our monetary donation, we contributed 200 keychains to be gifted to patients. We are grateful for the opportunity to play a small part in brightening someone’s journey and to stand alongside a foundation that makes such a positive impact in the community.
Centra is a regional not-for-profit healthcare system serving over 500,000 people in central Virginia. In addition to other services, the health system provides cancer care for patients at the Centra Alan B. Pearson Regional Cancer Center and two hospitals. Treatment starts with a focus on hope and healing. For many patients, ringing the bell located in the beautiful courtyard behind the cancer center is an especially important and meaningful part of their journey that signals the end of treatment. Family and friends often join patients for the special moment, as well as Caregivers. A new, special bell is currently being built that will be closer in proximity to the building so that it is easier for patients to access.
