CureDuchenne
On Saturday, September 13th, CureDuchenne hosted its annual Golf Shootout, an inspiring event that unites professional athletes, celebrities, and community leaders to raise funds for Duchenne muscular dystrophy research.
Founded by NHL All-Star Ryan Getzlaf and his wife Paige, and now proudly hosted by Troy Terry of the Anaheim Ducks and his wife Danielle, the two-day event has become a powerful tradition. The Shootout kicks off with an MVP Dinner reception on Friday evening, followed by a full day of golf and activities on Saturday. To date, this incredible event has raised more than $6.3 million to accelerate groundbreaking research and bring new therapies to individuals living with Duchenne.
CureDuchenne, established in 2003 by Paul and Debra Miller after their son Hawken was diagnosed, is a national nonprofit dedicated to finding a cure and supporting families affected by Duchenne muscular dystrophy. Their work combines funding innovative science with providing vital education and advocacy for the community.
